An excellent opportunity has arisen for an IP Litigation Associate Attorney to join a nationally recognised Intellectual Property practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated patent litigation matters for leading multinational corporations, innovative start-ups, and technology-focused clients across a range of industries including technology, consumer products, and life sciences. The successful candidate will work alongside a highly regarded team on complex, high-stakes disputes in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Handle patent litigation matters in federal district courts
- Support all stages of litigation, including fact development, discovery, motion practice, expert issues, and trial preparation
- Assist with ITC (Section 337) investigations and coordinate parallel district court and PTAB proceedings
- Draft high-quality briefs, motions, pleadings, and client communications
- Work closely with technical experts and analyse complex technologies to develop persuasive legal arguments
- Support PTAB proceedings, including inter partes reviews (IPRs)
- Assist with disputes involving SEPs/FRAND and telecommunications or multimedia standards, including cellular, Wi-Fi, and video coding technologies
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients on strategic litigation matters
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- 3–6 years of patent litigation experience
- Strong experience with federal district court litigation matters
- Experience with or exposure to ITC investigations and PTAB proceedings preferred
- Interest in or experience with SEPs/FRAND disputes and telecommunications technologies advantageous
- Excellent analytical, drafting, and problem-solving skills
- Strong academic credentials
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach
- Admission to practice in the relevant jurisdiction required
