Senior Patent Prosecution Associate Attorney

Our client, a premier IP law firm recognized by Chambers USA, is hiring a Senior Patent Prosecution Associate Attorney in their Pasadena office.


This firm offers:

  • Base Salary Range: $160K-$180K+ (DOE)
  • Bonus: Bonus eligibility and amount are based upon company and/or individual performance
  • Benefit offerings for full-time employment include medical, dental, vision, PTO, and life insurance and a 401k plan


Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key industry and university clients
  • Lead prosecution of high-value U.S. and international patent families
  • Prosecute patent applications that are the subject of, or informed by, IPR, litigation, or licensing activity
  • Draft and respond to office actions, conduct examiner interviews, and manage appeals as needed
  • Prepare and review claim charts and support infringement and licensing analyses
  • Mentor junior attorneys and agents and collaborate with cross-functional teams


Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in patent prosecution
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
  • USPTO Registration
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
  • Experience prosecuting patent families that have been challenged in IPR and/or litigation
