Key Responsibilities
• Draft, prepare, and prosecute U.S. patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
• Conduct patent prosecution activities involving chemistry, organic chemistry, polymer science, biochemistry, and related technologies.
• Assist clients with protecting and maximizing the value of their intellectual property assets.
• Support patent portfolio development and strategic intellectual property planning.
• Conduct due diligence reviews for transactions, investments, acquisitions, and licensing matters.
• Analyze prior art and prepare responses to USPTO office actions.
• Collaborate with inventors, scientists, researchers, and corporate stakeholders.
• Manage multiple client matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Work closely with partners and senior attorneys on sophisticated intellectual property matters.
• Provide practical legal guidance regarding patentability, prosecution strategy, and portfolio management.

Qualifications
• 2–4 years of patent prosecution experience.
• Registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
• Patent Bar eligible and licensed to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction.
• Strong technical background in chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• Excellent legal writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting demanding deadlines.
