Job Title: Inventory & Receiving Coordinator / Shipping Clerk

Job Description

This role manages the flow of raw materials, components, and finished goods in and out of a large production warehouse. You maintain accurate inventory records, oversee receiving activities, support production by preparing and delivering material kits, and use ERP software and material-handling equipment to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate counts of raw materials, components, and finished goods at all times.
• Perform daily cycle counts, as well as quarterly and yearly physical inventory counts.
• Improve inventory control procedures and recommend optimized material storage locations.
• Manage Kanban items and shop supply levels to ensure continuous availability of materials.
• Receive incoming materials and verify quantities and specifications against purchase orders.
• Move materials safely using pallet jacks, forklifts, hand trucks, and other material-handling tools.
• Store received materials in proper stock locations immediately after receiving to maintain organization and flow.
• Locate and retrieve materials from stock to support assembly and production teams.
• Handle discrepant materials and coordinate with production supervisors to resolve issues.
• Collaborate closely with production and warehouse teams to ensure timely material availability.
• Follow all safety guidelines when operating equipment and handling materials.
• Perform other inventory, shipping, receiving, and warehouse tasks as assigned by management.

Essential Skills

• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in counting and recording inventory.
• Comfort using material-handling and warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with production, receiving, and warehouse teams.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and material flows.
• Experience with shipping, inventory control, and palletizing.
• Ability to follow established procedures and improve processes where needed.

Work Environment

The role is based in a large warehouse and production facility where customized display cases, in-store fixtures, and branded environments are designed and built for coffee houses, retail stores, grocery chains, restaurants, and other commercial outlets. You work around active manufacturing and assembly operations, with frequent use of forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material-handling tools. ERP software and labeling systems support daily inventory and receiving activities. The environment is fast-paced, deadline-driven, and focused on meeting project budgets and schedules while maintaining consistent quality across multiple locations. Dress is appropriate for a warehouse and production setting, with adherence to safety and protective equipment requirements as needed.

This is a Contract position based out of Benicia, CA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Benicia,CA.
