Description
The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels by conducting regular counts, tracking inventory discrepancies, and supporting overall inventory management efforts. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient warehouse operations and optimizing inventory accuracy at Kilcoy Global Foods North America.
Role and Responsibilities
· Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
· Investigate inventory discrepancies and identify root causes, documenting and reporting variances to management.
· Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
· Assist in receiving and shipping processes by verifying quantities and ensuring correct data entry.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and logistics, to resolve inventory issues.
· Conduct physical inventory audits and provide reports on stock levels, shrinkage, and inventory trends.
· Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory materials to facilitate efficient access and count processes.
· Maintain cleanliness and safety in the warehouse area by adhering to company policies and safety standards.
· Assist with warehouse and production operations as needed, supporting an accurate and efficient supply chain.
· Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance inventory control systems.
