Job Description

The Shipping Clerk / Packager coordinates and packages products to precise standards, ensuring all components are included and assembled according to detailed work instructions. This role focuses on creating assemblies and subassemblies for laser sights, weapon-mounted cameras, and holsters, while handling small components and tools in a clean, climate-controlled environment. The position involves repetitive, hands-on tasks, frequent lifting of up to 40 lbs, and close collaboration with team members and leads.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and package products to ensure all components are included and packaged according to established work instructions.
  • Create assemblies and subassemblies for laser sights, weapon-mounted cameras, and holsters using small components and tools.
  • Perform repetitive packaging and assembly tasks with a high level of accuracy and consistency.
  • Read, understand, and follow written work instructions and production documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with leads and coworkers to clarify instructions, resolve issues, and maintain workflow.
  • Handle packaging, labeling, picking, and preparation of items for shipping and receiving.
  • Support inventory-related activities by accurately counting, organizing, and staging products as needed.
  • Lift and move boxes and materials weighing up to 40 lbs throughout the day while maintaining safe work practices.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment to meet production and shipping deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area in alignment with facility standards.
Essential Skills
  • Hands-on experience with packaging products in a production or warehouse setting.
  • Practical experience with shipping and receiving processes, including preparing items for shipment.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with small components and tools while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Capability to read and follow written work instructions and basic production documentation.
  • Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs repeatedly throughout the workday.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with leads and coworkers in a team environment.
  • Basic understanding of labeling, packing, and picking procedures.
  • Reliability and consistency in meeting daily production and shipping expectations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a packager, shipping clerk, or in a similar production role.
  • Background in packaging, shipping and receiving, and inventory support.
  • Experience working with small parts, assemblies, or light manufacturing.
  • Ability to work effectively in a slow-paced, laid-back environment while remaining productive.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple items, labels, and components accurately.

This is a Contract position based out of Maple Plain, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
