Marketing Lead (B2C / eCommerce)

Overview

Our client is seeking a Marketing Lead to take full ownership of a high-volume, consumer-facing marketing function with a strong eCommerce and retail component.

This is a hands-on, end-to-end ownership role responsible for both strategy and execution across all marketing channels. The ideal candidate will have approximately 4 years of experience in B2C marketing, ideally from an agency, boutique retail, gift/home goods, or product-driven eCommerce environment.

This role requires someone who is highly autonomous, execution-oriented, and comfortable owning the entire marketing function in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Ownership

  • Own and manage the full marketing calendar (30–90 day planning horizon)
  • Develop and execute campaigns across email, paid media, social, and web
  • Ensure consistent brand voice, messaging, and visual identity
  • Identify trends, competitors, and growth opportunities

Email, SMS & Paid Media

  • Build and execute campaigns in Klaviyo (email and SMS)
  • Manage lifecycle automation flows and list health/deliverability
  • Own paid social campaigns across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Monitor and optimize performance (CPA, ROAS, CTR)
  • Oversee external Google Ads agency performance

Website, Content & SEO

  • Own website content, product storytelling, and promotional messaging
  • Write and optimize landing pages and product descriptions
  • Implement SEO best practices (metadata, keywords, image optimization)
  • Support blog/content strategy for organic growth

Content & Creative Direction

  • Plan and support photo and content shoots throughout the year
  • Direct creation of content across social, email, and digital channels
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on creative asset development
  • Improve content production workflows and efficiency

AI & Automation

  • Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) for content creation, research, and analysis
  • Build lightweight automation to improve efficiency
  • Ensure brand consistency across AI-generated content

Analytics & Reporting

  • Build reporting across all marketing channels
  • Run A/B tests across creative, messaging, offers, and timing
  • Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Support forecasting and demand planning with leadership

Qualifications

  • Approximately 4 years of marketing experience
  • B2C, eCommerce, agency, or boutique retail experience preferred
  • Hands-on experience with Klaviyo (email and SMS) preferred
  • Experience with Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, and GA4
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools
  • Strong consumer marketing and storytelling skills
  • Comfortable acting as sole marketing owner
  • Strong analytical and performance-driven mindset
  • Experience using AI tools to improve speed and output
