Job Title: Marketing Director
Reporting To: Chief Marketing Officer

ROLE SUMMARY
The Marketing Director oversees the development and delivery of both the NPD roadmap and brand plans for assigned categories. The position will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer. You will be responsible for managing all phases of development and the go to market plans for product collections within assigned brands.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
1. Product Development : New & Existing developments centered around innovation, expansion, diversification and gap fill analysis.
2. Commercialization Planning : Managing ideation, business process and stakeholder support stages of bringing brands to market.
3. Ongoing Brand Activity, Communications & Promotional Planning : Liaising with the social, education and commercialization teams, implementing strategies to increase consumer trial, mindshare and engagement will be key, whether online, at shelf or with the customer.
4. P&L Management
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Direct the development and implementation of the Brand strategy for new and existing products, including product assortment and innovation, pricing communications and promotions.
• Guiding and overseeing the day-to-day activities of reporting team member, ensuring that the objectives are met and KPI’s achieved.
• Work closely with the company’s Sales team, enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing them with appropriate tools, marketing materials, presentations, and programs.
• Provide monthly analysis covering performance, promotions, competitive environment and consumer trends.
• Review category and product sales regularly; Help identify new product concepts, technologies, market trends, product gaps, and category/franchising opportunities with the wider team.
• Ensure frequent COG analysis, pricing, and SKU management for Brand product portfolio is delivered.
• Work with cross functional team members to bring new programs to the market, including but not limited to Product Development, Packaging, Creative design and Consumer Marketing
• Ensure all timetables and cost objectives are met, including new products, seasonal promotional programs, and support collateral.
• Work collaboratively with creative to ensure excellent execution of packaging, promotions, collateral and advertising & merchandising materials.
• Develop and manage marketing product development schedules, ensuring buy in from internal partners.
• Have a keen awareness of global innovations, trends, consumer feedback and competitor activity .
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, brand management, communications or similar field.
• 5-10 years’ experience in beauty, or other CPG industry is highly preferred
• Strong Analytical Skills, including some experience in cost and margin analysis
• Proficient in MS Office applications word, excel and PowerPoint
• Detail oriented and excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
• Be a natural at proactively communicating with stake holders and making decisions promptly
• Be experienced in nurturing and motiving reporting team members for success
