Director of Brand Marketing

Flipper's Roller Boogie Palace
Los Angeles, CA

About Flipper's Roller Boogie Palace

Flipper's Roller Boogie Palace, born in Hollywood from a mix of legend and nostalgia, is a global community that reaches far beyond the rink. Since 1979, it has grown into a cultural force uniting fashion, music, and movement. We are building something iconic — and this role is at the center of it.

About the Role

We are looking for a Director of Brand Marketing to own how Flipper's Roller Boogie Palace shows up in the world — across wholesale, retail, social, editorial, events, influencer, and PR. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who is as comfortable developing seasonal brand narratives as they are coordinating a sell-in deck for a wholesale buyer or executing a cultural activation in LA.

This is not a performance marketing role. It is strategic, creative, and deeply operational. You will be the connective tissue between product, design, sales, and culture — and you will play a defining role in making FRBP iconic.

What You'll Own

  • Full brand strategy and seasonal storytelling across collections, wholesale, drops, and capsules
  • Social media direction and execution — Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms — aligned with brand DNA
  • Editorial and lookbook direction in close partnership with design and production
  • Influencer and seeding programs — organic, taste-driven, and culturally intentional
  • Events, pop-ups, and activations that connect with LA's creative community and beyond
  • PR strategy and media relationships that build long-term brand credibility
  • Wholesale and retail marketing support — sell-in storytelling, buyer communication, and brand materials
  • Go-to-market planning and campaign orchestration across all channels
  • Cross-functional alignment with design, production, sales, and merchandising
  • Budget ownership and post-campaign reporting

Who You Are

  • 7+ years in brand marketing for a fashion, streetwear, or lifestyle label
  • Deeply embedded in LA's creative community — with existing relationships across talent, stylists, photographers, and cultural figures
  • Proven experience owning editorial, social, influencer, events, and wholesale marketing end-to-end
  • Equally comfortable building brand heat and supporting commercial sell-in
  • Experienced in go-to-market planning with multiple channels and retail partners
  • Able to operate as a one-person department while building toward a team
  • Luxury, streetwear, or lifestyle brand experience preferred
  • Early-stage or first-hire marketing experience a plus

What Success Looks Like

  • FRBP is recognized as a cultural brand — not just a product
  • Every touchpoint from wholesale deck to social post to activation feels intentional and on-brand
  • Influencer and community activity is earned, taste-driven, and consistently aligned with brand DNA
  • Wholesale and retail partners have compelling, well-supported brand materials every season
  • The brand has a distinct and consistent point of view that resonates globally

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. Full-time, on-site in Los Angeles.
