Civil Litigation Paralegal

Jones Networking is recruiting for a Civil Litigation Paralegal to join a Civil Litigation Defense Law Firm in Greenville, SC. This role will support an attorney handling complex insurance defense and business litigation matters. This role is ideal for a paralegal with a background in insurance defense, liability litigation, or construction law who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Civil Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with case preparation, from inception through trial and appeal.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence.
- Assist in deposition, mediation, and trial preparation, including exhibit organization and witness coordination.
- Handle e-filing in both state and federal courts.
- Communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel as needed.
- Review and summarize medical records, depositions, and other case-related documents.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all legal matters.
- Track deadlines and maintain compliance with court and carrier requirements
- Assist with trial prep including exhibits, binders, and witness coordination
Civil Litigation Paralegal Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree; Paralegal Certificate preferred.
- Minimum of 2+ years of defense litigation experience in a law firm setting.
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court rules.
- Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage.
