Litigation Paralegal – Complex Litigation (Hybrid | Chicago, IL)

A well‑regarded boutique litigation firm in Chicago is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in sophisticated, complex litigation matters. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented paralegal with meaningful trial experience who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Provide full‑cycle paralegal support on complex litigation matters from inception through trial and post‑trial
Draft, review, and manage pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and related correspondence
Coordinate all aspects of discovery, including document collection, review, production, and e‑discovery platforms
Prepare deposition and trial materials, including exhibits, witness binders, demonstratives, and trial notebooks
Assist attorneys during trials, hearings, depositions, and mediations, including in‑court or remote trial support as needed
Manage case files, deadlines, and docketing in collaboration with attorneys
Cite‑check and fact‑check briefs and filings
Communicate with courts, clients, opposing counsel, vendors, and experts
Maintain strict confidentiality and adherence to ethical and firm standards

Qualifications

2+ years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm setting
Complex litigation experience required; trial support experience strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures, court rules, and discovery processes
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal technology platforms, including e‑discovery tools
DISCO experience preferred
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently while contributing to a small, team‑oriented firm
