Buyer / Planner

💰 $80,000–$90,000 base + annual bonus
LHH is partnering with a well-established organization to hire a Buyer / Planner for an onsite role in Elk Grove Village. This position focuses on replenishment and inventory planning across two locations within a fast-paced Just-In-Time (JIT) environment.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on inventory management, data-driven decision-making, and supplier collaboration—without heavy sourcing or negotiation responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage replenishment planning and purchasing activities for two facilities
- Oversee approximately $500K in monthly spend across ~400 SKUs
- Analyze historical demand, inventory levels, and supplier lead times
- Maintain inventory accuracy in a JIT inventory environment
- Build and manage ongoing supplier relationships
- Review and interpret Power BI reports to guide purchasing decisions
- Support cost savings initiatives (limited sourcing/negotiation focus)
- Collaborate closely with operations, supply chain, and finance teams
Qualifications
- Experience in a Buyer, Planner, or Buyer/Planner role
- Strong background in replenishment-focused purchasing & inventory management
- Experience working with a high SKU count and recurring monthly spend
- Comfortable using data and reporting tools to drive decisions
- Power BI or similar reporting exposure preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
