Job Title: Wastewater Treatment Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Wastewater Treatment Operator to join our team. The role involves flexible shift hours, starting at 6am or 7am and ending at 2:30pm or 3:30pm. The position requires hands-on involvement in manufacturing pre-treatment formulas, managing wastewater treatment processes, and maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture pre-treatment formulas according to defined recipes and procedures.
  • Enter production data into SAP and record production parameters.
  • Perform necessary checks during and after manufacturing processes.
  • Supply raw materials as needed and report any issues to a supervisor.
  • Manage chemical additions and monitor filter materials in wastewater treatment.
  • Compress waste material using a screw press and adjust wastewater chemistry as necessary.
  • Assemble and pack printed TileTop rolls and manage finished product roll containers.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the work area and ensure proper disposal of defective formulations.
  • Perform monthly inventory of materials and assist in other activities based on competence.
  • Maintain Chromojet modules and document flow control results.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing and wastewater treatment.
  • Experience in pretreatment, wastewater treatment, or similar purification processes.
  • Experience in the chemical industry or chemical treatment industry.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Excel and email.
  • Strong communication skills and experience with SAP.
  • Knowledge of water treatment, chemical instrumentation, chemical mixing, and wastewater management.

  • Ability to prevent non-conformities by following operating procedures.
  • Experience in identifying and recording quality issues.
  • Capability to apply corrective actions for deviations from standards.
  • Authority to intervene in environmental emergencies and ensure daily activities do not affect the environment.
  • Commitment to health and safety regulations, including the use of protective equipment.

Work Environment

The role is based in a wastewater treatment area within a production facility. Employees are required to wear PPE, including steel toe boots, safety glasses, and a uniform provided by the company.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hazleton, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $45.00/hr.
