Alperin Law and Wealth seeks a Trust and Estates Paralegal with 5+ years of Estate and Trust Administration experience to serve in the firm’s fast-paced office. The ideal candidate will have years of experience in probate, estate and trust administration with direct client contact, case load management, as well as the ability to mentor and collaborate with the department’s attorney and legal assistant in addition to others in the firm.

Responsibilities include:
- Prepare Inventories and Accountings to be filed with the local Commissioner of Accounts.
- Maintain, review, and reconcile various assets.
- Coordinate and facilitate distribution to beneficiaries.
- Prepare receipts, releases, and indemnification agreements.
- Draft correspondence and respond to audit requests.
- Coordinate appraisals of real/tangible personal property.
- Prepare checks for bills and reconcile bank accounts.
Ideal Candidates will have:
- Professional office experience using Microsoft Office Suite including Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience working with local courts.
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with technology
- Proficient with GEMS or other similar estate accounting software
- Knowledge of estate administration, and trust administration
- Knowledge of real estate, title, tax, and/or business law a plus
- Notary commission (Virginia) preferred or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- Prior experience working with local courts and commissioners of account
Pay: $55,000+ per year commiserate with experience
