Job Title: Warehouse / Supply Clerk – 3rd Shift

Job Description

The Warehouse Clerk on 3rd shift supports hospital operations by cleaning, organizing, and managing medical supplies and equipment throughout the facility. This role involves extensive walking to deliver supplies to nursing units, performing inventory tasks, unloading and stocking shipments, and responding to supply requests from clinical staff. The position is entry-level and offers the opportunity to gain experience in a hospital environment while contributing directly to patient care support.

Responsibilities

  • Distribute medical supplies and equipment to point-of-care locations throughout the hospital campus.
  • Perform extensive walking during the entire shift to deliver supplies to nursing units and other departments.
  • Receive, unload, and unpackage shipments of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Rotate stock to ensure proper inventory flow and minimize expired or outdated items.
  • Stock shelves and maintain organized storage areas in the warehouse and point-of-care locations.
  • Respond to phone calls from doctors and nurses to take and fulfill supply orders.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels by performing regular counts and adjustments as needed.
  • Keep point-of-care supply areas clean, orderly, and properly labeled.
  • Perform heavy cleaning duties, including wiping down walls, bins, and storage areas in the department.
  • Use equipment such as pallet jacks and RF scanners to move, track, and manage inventory.
  • Support the efficient functioning of central supply and equipment inventories throughout the shift.
  • Operate elevators safely while transporting supplies and equipment between floors.
  • Handle lifting, loading, and unloading of boxes and packages as part of daily warehouse operations.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to walk quickly and continuously throughout the entire 3rd shift.
  • Experience or comfort with inventory tasks, including counting and tracking stock.
  • Ability to perform shipping and receiving duties, including unloading and unpackaging shipments.
  • Material handling skills, including lifting and moving boxes and packages safely.
  • Experience with stocking shelves and organizing supplies in a warehouse or similar environment.
  • Ability to perform cleaning tasks, including wiping down walls, bins, and storage areas.
  • Capability to use an RF scanner for inventory tracking and management.
  • Ability to operate a pallet jack to move inventory within the warehouse.
  • Comfort with answering phones and communicating clearly with doctors, nurses, and other staff.
  • Ability to operate elevators safely while transporting supplies and equipment.
  • Reliability in maintaining accurate inventory and following established procedures.

Work Environment

This is a 3rd shift position with hours from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Most of the work takes place in a warehouse environment focused on stocking shelves, organizing supplies, and managing inventory. The role requires extensive walking throughout the hospital to deliver supplies to nursing units and other areas, as well as frequent lifting, loading, and unloading of boxes and packages. The environment involves working with equipment such as pallet jacks, RF scanners, and elevators, and includes regular cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and organized supply area.

This is a Contract position based out of Orange, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
