Job Title: Logistics Clerk

Job Description

This is a temporary position expected to last for the next 5-6 months, designed to support operations during a busy season. The Logistics Clerk is tasked with ensuring timely and efficient movement of inventory and shipments, maintaining inventory integrity, and assisting the Logistics Coordinator with daily data entry tasks. The role demands adherence to productivity and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties related to receiving and shipping machines, machine parts, spares, laminate, labels, inks, and other commodities as required.
  • Verify merchandise and organize distribution, preparing related documents.
  • Maintain storage and receiving areas to support site sanitation.
  • Ensure all outgoing shipments match sales orders, including correct items, quantities, and labeling.
  • Prepare shipments for dispatch and determine the best shipping method based on delivery requirements.
  • Maintain scheduled shipment timelines to meet delivery commitments and avoid delays.
  • Process sales orders, dispatch, and shipping documentation via ERP systems and other associated software, carrier-specific systems, and manually generated documents.
  • Complete the required shipping documents such as bills of lading, labels, and manifests.
  • Receive deliveries, check for accuracy against purchase orders, and promptly enter receipt information into inventory systems.
  • Report discrepancies and communicate issues such as shortages, overages, or damaged goods for resolution.
  • Ensure that all production jobs from the previous shift are completed and processed each day by the designated time.
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate movement of materials, components, and finished goods within the warehouse to ensure continuous support of production operations.
  • Ensure outbound and inbound shipments comply with company and legal standards, including international shipping if applicable.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years experience operating a stand-up forklift
  • Proficient in data entry
  • Experience with inventory management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Familiarity with supply chain logistics
  • Experience with ERP systems

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Excel pivot tables is a plus
  • Ample software and technology use and exposure

Work Environment

The position operates Monday through Friday with flexible start and end times. While the typical schedule is from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, employees may start as early as 7:00 AM and finish as late as 4:30 PM, depending on the day's requirements.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
