Supply Chain & Production Planning Manager
Position Overview
This role is responsible for leading production planning execution and supply chain coordination within a manufacturing environment. The position ensures that customer demand is effectively translated into actionable production plans, aligned with available capacity, material supply, and operational priorities.
The role plays a critical part in improving planning rigor, enhancing execution consistency, and supporting scalable operational growth.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Order Management
- Oversee the full lifecycle of order execution from demand intake through production and fulfillment
- Manage ongoing customer order activity, ensuring accurate entry, prioritization, and alignment within internal systems
- Maintain visibility into open order status, proactively identifying risks, delays, and misalignment between demand and execution
Planning Execution & Work Order Readiness
- Ensure production orders are accurately created, reviewed, and prepared prior to release to the floor
- Validate that all inputs (materials, routing, labor, and capacity) are aligned before execution
- Track production performance against plan, identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions as needed
Cross-Functional Alignment
- Partner closely with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure production readiness
- Confirm feasibility of plans prior to release, minimizing disruption on the manufacturing floor
- Coordinate material availability and timing to support execution schedules
Systems & Operational Visibility
- Maintain accuracy of planning and order data within ERP systems and supporting tools
- Provide reporting and insights on order status, production progress, and potential risks
- Identify opportunities to improve data integrity, visibility, and workflow efficiency
Continuous Improvement & Analysis
- Analyze planning and execution data to identify inefficiencies and variability
- Develop and implement improvements to enhance planning accuracy and operational flow
- Support the development of standardized processes to enable scalable growth
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or a related discipline
- Experience in production planning, supply chain, or manufacturing operations
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (SAP or similar preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to operate cross-functionally in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
