Supplier Onboarding Coordinator

Position Overview

Hive+Co has a contract opportunity with our client for a Supplier Onboarding Coordinator to support supplier enablement and onboarding operations. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end supplier onboarding lifecycle, ensuring suppliers are accurately registered, compliant with company requirements, and fully enabled for transactional readiness within procurement systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with supplier management or procurement platforms, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple business functions while delivering a positive supplier experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full supplier onboarding lifecycle from initial request through supplier activation within enterprise procurement systems such as SAP Ariba and ERP platforms.
  • Coordinate supplier registration activities, including guiding suppliers through onboarding portals and ensuring all required documentation and information is complete and accurate.
  • Validate supplier data and ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Partner with Procurement, Legal, Risk, Accounts Payable, and IT teams to facilitate due diligence reviews, compliance screenings, insurance verification, certifications, and approval workflows.
  • Track onboarding progress and proactively resolve delays, issues, or missing requirements impacting supplier readiness.
  • Maintain data integrity within supplier management and procurement systems.
  • Support supplier enablement activities including Guided Buying, catalog management, and electronic invoicing functionality.
  • Develop and maintain onboarding documentation, job aids, standard operating procedures, and process guides.
  • Respond to supplier inquiries and provide timely support throughout the onboarding process.
  • Monitor onboarding metrics such as cycle times, completion rates, and data quality to identify opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to supplier onboarding and procurement operations.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2–5 years of experience in procurement operations, supplier onboarding, supplier management, accounts payable, or a related function.
  • Experience working with procurement or supplier management platforms such as SAP Ariba SLP, Guided Buying, Coupa, or similar systems.
  • Strong understanding of supplier onboarding processes, compliance requirements, and data governance best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple onboarding requests simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and process consistency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with procure-to-pay (P2P) processes.
  • Experience with reporting or analytics tools used to track onboarding performance and operational metrics
