Senior Paralegal - Complex Commercial Litigation

The Senior Complex Commercial Litigation Paralegal is a lead member of the litigation team, managing complex commercial litigation matters from inception through trial and appeal with minimal supervision. This role provides strategic case support, oversees all aspects of case management, and mentors junior paralegals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Independently manage a caseload of complex commercial litigation matters.
  • Draft, file, and manage pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, and other litigation documents.
  • Coordinate and oversee discovery, document review, e-discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
  • Monitor court dockets, deadlines, and filings in federal and state courts.
  • Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures.
  • Support attorneys in developing litigation strategy and case plans.
  • Lead trial preparation, witness coordination, exhibit management, and courtroom support.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor junior paralegals.
  • Assist with staffing, workflow management, and practice group operations.
  • Utilize litigation support software, including Relativity, Opus2, Case Notebook, PACER Pro, Microsoft Office, Adobe, and SharePoint.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of complex commercial litigation experience, including significant trial experience.
  • Proven ability to independently manage high-volume, high-stakes matters.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state court procedures, discovery, and e-discovery.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree required; paralegal certificate preferred.
