Litigation Paralegal – Consumer Financial Services

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Compensation: $85,000.00 – $105,000.00


About the Opportunity

LHH is working with a national law firm that is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to support its expanding Consumer Financial Services practice group. This is a high-impact, senior-level role supporting attorneys on complex litigation matters, offering the opportunity to work on sophisticated cases in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and subpoenas
  • Manage and organize case files, including document collection, review, and production
  • Coordinate and lead discovery processes, including e-discovery platforms (e.g., Relativity, DISCO)
  • Prepare exhibits, binders, and materials for depositions, hearings, and trial
  • Summarize depositions, records, and case materials to support litigation strategy
  • Handle federal and state court filings, including electronic filing systems (PACER, Odyssey, etc.)
  • Track deadlines and maintain case calendars to ensure compliance with court requirements
  • Communicate with clients, experts, and vendors as needed throughout the litigation process
  • Support attorneys on complex, high-volume consumer financial services matters


Qualifications

  • 8+ years of litigation paralegal experience required (consumer financial services, banking, or commercial litigation strongly preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures and e-filing systems
  • Proven experience supporting complex and high-volume litigation matters
  • Advanced proficiency with legal technology, document management, and e-discovery tools
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred
