Job Title: Senior Logistics Coordinator – Plant Operations

Position Summary
RBF Port Neches is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Logistics Coordinator to join our plant operations team. This crucial role manages the daily, end-to-end logistics operations, acting as the central hub between production, compliance, transportation, and customers. The Senior Coordinator will ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant movement of bulk feedoil, biodiesel, glycerin, and raw materials, optimizing supply chain processes to support 24/7 plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Bulk Logistics Execution: Coordinate and track daily inbound/outbound shipments of bulk feedoil, biodiesel, glycerin, and raw materials via railcar, truck, and marine.
- Plant-Carrier Liaison: Partner with carrier dispatch teams, terminal staff, and loading rack operators to maximize asset utilization, schedule loading times, and minimize turnaround times.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all shipments comply with DOT regulations, environmental standards, and safety protocols, including managing hazardous material documentation when necessary (Bill of Lading, Manifests).
- Inventory & Systems Management: Utilize ERP systems such as RightAngle and TopTech for inventory accuracy and tracking.
- Managing Raw Materials & By-products: Manage raw materials (chemicals) and by-product (glycerin/FFA) inventories, including streamlining procurement, managing production schedule impacts, and strengthening vendor relationships. Work to optimize the workflow and tracking systems used to ensure efficient operations while minimizing cost and downtime.
- Troubleshooting & Optimization: Proactively identify shipping delays, discrepancies, or inventory shortages and implement solutions, reducing downtime and optimizing costs.
- Data Reporting: Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports for management regarding on-time delivery (OTD) and logistics performance metrics.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics coordination within a chemical plant, refinery, or renewable fuels manufacturing environment.
- Systems Knowledge: Advanced proficiency in RightAngle or similar ERP platforms, and Microsoft Excel.
- Logistics Expertise: Strong knowledge of rail logistics, bulk trucking, and raw materials management.
- Skills: Excellent communication, analytical skills, leadership, and the ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
- Experience with railcar tracking systems and managing vendor contracts.
