Role Description

The Senior Associate Attorney will serve as a key legal advisor and courtroom advocate within the firm’s creditors’ rights and collections litigation practice. This full‑time hybrid role, based in Kansas City, MO, offers the flexibility of partial remote work and no billable hour requirements.

The attorney will manage a contested litigation docket, conduct legal research, draft and review pleadings, appear in court, and negotiate resolutions with opposing counsel. This role requires strong judgment, efficiency, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams to drive favorable outcomes for clients. The Senior Associate Attorney will also ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations, including FDCPA and related statutes


Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Missouri State Bar (additional state licenses a plus)
  • Experience in creditors’ rights, collections litigation, or high‑volume civil litigation
  • Strong skills in legal research, motion practice, and drafting pleadings
  • Proven ability to negotiate settlements and manage contested matters
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
  • Prior law firm or in‑house litigation experience preferred
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and comfort managing a fast‑paced docket
