A newer consulting organization is partnering with our team to add an Accounting Manager to support its U.S. operations. This is a high-impact role within a ~250+ person services business, ideal for someone who thrives in a project-based, deadline-driven environment and enjoys touching multiple aspects of the accounting function—from close to billing to payroll coordination.

🔎 What You’ll Do

• Maintain the general ledger, including preparation and posting of journal entries
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
• Perform account reconciliations across cash, balance sheet, and credit card accounts
• Oversee day-to-day AP/AR workflows, including invoicing tied to client engagements
• Manage project-based billing cycles and ensure alignment with contract terms
• Track employee and contractor timesheets for payroll and client billing
• Assist with revenue recognition tied to project accounting
• Coordinate bi-weekly payroll with a third-party provider
• Partner cross-functionally with HR on compensation changes impacting billing rates
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation tracking (low volume)
• Support audits, tax compliance, and external reporting requests
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow forecasting, and the finance functions of the organization
• Analyze financial data and prepare reporting packages for leadership
• Maintain organized documentation and strengthen internal accounting processes

✅ What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline or equivalent hands-on experience (3–5+ years)
• Background in professional services, consulting, staffing, or project-based environments is a plus
• Solid understanding of core accounting principles and close processes
• Experience working with outsourced providers (e.g., payroll or PEO relationships) is a plus
• Exposure to project accounting, revenue recognition, and client billing workflows preferred
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
• Clear communicator who can collaborate across teams in a remote setting
