Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Release Manager, based in Huntsville, AL or in Dayton, OH. The Release Manager will oversee the planning, scheduling, and coordination of software releases while ensuring adherence to quality and delivery timelines. Responsibilities include managing release processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, maintaining configuration management systems, and identifying process improvements. The candidate will also play a key role in mitigating risks and ensuring the release readiness of deliverables.

Contingent on winning the ICAM Collection Development and Support TORP

Start Date: On or after June 5th, 2026

Expected Salary: $100K-$130K

Potential Sign on Bonus: $10k

Minerva is looking for a release manager to oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely deployment. Someone with the ability to bridge development, quality assurance, and site reliability teams, manage risks and automate workflows. Key skills include CI/CD knowledge, technical leadership, and strong communication. 

 

Primary Duties: 

  • Create and manage a release calendar (major, minor, and emergency fixes). 
  • Work with cross-functional teams (developers, testers, IT) to ensure alignment 
  • Manage risks to release scope, schedule, and quality. 
  • Oversee the actual deployment of software updates, often managing non-production environments like sandboxes. 
  • Ensuring that all software adheres to regulations and standards.  
  • Responsible for the configuration control of each environment. 

Required Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, quality assurance, DevSecOps, IT operations, or release/deployment management and strong leadership skills 
  • 1-2 years of experience in a leadership or project management role 
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related technical field 
  • Proficiency in SDLC, Agile/DevSecOps methodologies, and automation tools 
  • Ability to communicate, manage risk, and conduct stakeholder coordination 
  • US Citizenship 
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Top Secret Clearence

  • ITIL Foundation 
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) 
  • SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) 
  • DevOps Institute certifications
