Technical Project Manager

Brynson™
New York, NY

About Brynson

Brynson is a PropTech intelligence company redefining how the multifamily real estate industry operates. Our platform, Brynsights™, is the industry’s first unified intelligence command center; connecting marketing, operations, analytics, and compliance into a single source of truth. Our AI-powered decision support tool, Paul, is already changing how operators make decisions at scale.

We have incredible clients, a growing platform, and momentum in a market ready to be redefined. We are in execution mode, scaling a product that operators are already depending on. We are building Brynson with intention and looking for exceptional people who want to elevate an industry and help create smarter, more transparent outcomes for everyone involved.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to serve as the critical operational spine between engineering, product, and business stakeholders. This individual owns execution from origination through production release and the ongoing success of every function they touch.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You will run standups, own the room, and be the person teams look to when priorities need to be set and blockers need to be cleared. You know how software is built and shipped. You write clearly, communicate constantly, and operate with the kind of discipline that makes everyone around you faster.

Core Responsibilities

Project Ownership & Delivery

  • Own the full lifecycle of every initiative — from initial scoping and requirements through development, QA, deployment, and post-release success
  • Break down complex technical projects into clear plans, milestones, and next steps that engineering and business stakeholders can both work from
  • Lead daily standups and keep the team moving — you set the pace, clear the blockers, and make sure nothing sits still
  • Track progress, surface risks early, and drive resolution before they become problems
  • Own the release process: coordinate deployment sequencing, communicate timelines, and ensure post-launch stability is verified

Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Serve as the connective tissue between engineering, product, and business — translating in both directions without losing fidelity
  • Partner with engineering leadership to align on priorities, timelines, and dependencies
  • Maintain consistent, clear communication across all teams throughout the project lifecycle — no surprises, no gaps
  • Provide stakeholders with regular, structured updates on progress, risks, and outcomes

Documentation & Operational Clarity

  • Maintain living documentation: PRDs, scoping specs, decision logs, and status updates the entire team can rely on
  • Write with precision — your docs should make handoffs seamless and ambiguity rare
  • Identify and implement process improvements that increase delivery speed and reduce friction across teams

Customer-Facing Coordination

  • Coordinate with client-facing teams on integration timelines, onboarding milestones, and customer-driven feature work
  • Translate customer feedback and implementation requirements into actionable internal priorities
  • Own communication around customer-impacting releases, ensuring timelines and expectations are managed externally as well as internally

AI Tooling

Brynson operates at the speed of AI — and so do our best people. We expect this person to be an active, fluent user of AI tools as part of their daily workflow: drafting PRDs, synthesizing feedback, structuring specs, and accelerating communication across teams.

If you are not already using tools like Claude, Cursor, or MCP-based workflows to compress the time between idea and execution, this is probably not the right role. We are not looking for someone who is curious about AI. We are looking for someone already building with it.

Familiarity with Claude Code, Cursor, Obsidian, and similar tools is a strong positive signal.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience

  • 5+ years in technical project management in a SaaS or software product environment
  • Proven track record owning complex, cross-functional projects from kickoff through production release
  • Background working directly alongside engineering teams — you understand how code moves from branch to production and know what to ask at each stage
  • Experience in a high-growth company where things move fast and priorities shift — and you thrived in it

PM Toolkit & Process

  • Deep fluency with modern project and issue tracking tools: Jira, Linear, or equivalent
  • Strong documentation practices using Notion, Confluence, or similar — you default to writing things down
  • Solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle: sprint planning, QA processes, staging environments, release management, and deployment practices
  • Comfortable with async-first communication tools like Loom and Slack — and skilled at using them to reduce unnecessary meetings
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (HubSpot or similar) and how they connect to product and customer workflows

Communication & Leadership

  • You write well. Your status updates are clear, your specs are actionable, and your stakeholder communications leave no room for misinterpretation
  • You run tight standups — not therapy sessions. You keep things moving and people accountable
  • PMP or CAPM certification is a plus, not a requirement
  • Based in or willing to relocate to New York City

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: Base Salary: $160,000 – $180,000
  • Equity: Equity participation reflecting the seniority and impact of this role
  • Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Time Off: Flexible PTO
  • Travel: 10–20% travel as needed

Why Brynson

This is a rare opportunity to join at a stage where the decisions you make will shape how the company operates for years to come. You will not be managing a backlog for someone else’s roadmap. You will be setting the standard for how execution happens at Brynson — and your contributions will be visible, valued, and consequential.

If you want a role where you own the outcome, this is it.

Brynson is an equal opportunity employer. We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and barrier-free work environment for all employees and candidates.
