Project Scheduler - Planner in Houston, TX

  • Contract role with hybrid work arrangement (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday in-office, Wednesday and Friday remote/work from home)


We’re seeking an experienced Project Scheduler - Planner to support large-scale natural gas growth projects ranging from $50M to $1B TIC. This role plays a critical part in developing, maintaining, and analyzing integrated project schedules while partnering closely with project managers and cross-functional teams.


In this position, you’ll take ownership of the overall project schedule, from early development through construction and into commercial operation. You’ll collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and accounting teams to ensure alignment and accuracy across all phases of the project lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build, maintain, and analyze detailed project schedules, including contractor submissions
  • Develop and manage integrated master schedules from pre-FEED through in-service
  • Lead schedule review meetings and provide clear, concise reporting on project status
  • Monitor critical path, constraints, durations, sequencing, and overall schedule integrity
  • Track and communicate schedule impacts, delays, and what-if scenarios to stakeholders
  • Support progress measurement processes and ensure contractor compliance
  • Perform earned value management (EVM) analysis and reporting during execution
  • Assist with risk assessments, cost analysis, and schedule forecasting
  • Partner with project leadership to optimize execution strategies and resource planning
  • Identify process improvements and document lessons learned


Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years of experience in gas pipeline or construction project environments
  • Strong understanding of the full construction project lifecycle
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (required)
  • Working knowledge of MS Project
