Production Supervisor Full-Time | Manufacturing | Gulf Coast Region

Our client is a well-established composites manufacturer with deep roots in advanced fabrication processes and a long-standing role as a critical supplier to the U.S. Navy. They are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead and develop a skilled production team in a high-quality, defense-adjacent manufacturing environment.

Essential Job Requirements

  • Know each employee's strengths and weaknesses and provide consistent, supportive leadership across different personalities
  • Ability to recruit new talent, conduct interviews, and participate in job fairs
  • Coach, mentor, and when necessary, offboard employees
  • Leverage team strengths and develop areas of improvement to build effective production teams
  • Make sound decisions regarding both product quality and people management
  • Conduct 30/60/90-day reviews and annual performance evaluations in a timely manner
  • Execute cross-training strategies to support employee development and fulfill operational needs
  • Ensure production deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained
  • Enforce company policies and procedures
  • Organize, monitor, and manage production workflow; track budgeted hours
  • Maintain and update manufacturing instructions and perform redlines when needed
  • Adapt to shifting project priorities and use effective delegation to manage challenges
  • Maintain clear interdepartmental communication on project status and needs
  • Build trusted relationships across departments and reinforce a positive company culture
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Resident (Green Card) required due to the nature of the work
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing time and attendance
  • Basic MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to lead weekly safety meetings
  • Hands-on leader willing to work alongside the team when needed
  • Active listening skills and an open, approachable management style
  • Takes ownership of the process; knows when to pause and seek guidance

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for 10+ hours; climb ladders; work in confined spaces
  • Lift, push, pull, or carry loads up to approximately 50 pounds
  • Bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, and reach as required
  • Close and distance vision, color vision, depth perception
