Production Manager

We are seeking a Production Manager with deep experience in metals manufacturing and a strong lean manufacturing mindset. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for running daily shop floor operations, leading a team of approximately 30 employees, and driving performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

This role is ideal for a technically strong, floor-focused leader who understands how to operate and optimize a metals manufacturing environment and is comfortable being directly involved in production.

Essential Duties & Functions:

• Lead daily production operations in a metals manufacturing environment
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of approximately 30 production employees
• Drive lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase throughput
• Oversee and optimize key processes including roll forming, punching, stamping, laser cutting, and welding
• Maintain strong working knowledge of equipment and ensure optimal utilization
• Monitor production metrics and implement improvements to meet operational goals
• Partner with engineering and other internal teams to support production and process improvements

Qualifications:

• 4-year degree required, preferably in Engineering or a related field
• Strong experience in metals manufacturing environments
• Proven success implementing and sustaining lean manufacturing principles
• Hands-on knowledge of:
• Roll forming
• Punching and stamping
• Laser cutting
• Robotic and manual welding
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing production teams of 20+ employees
• Strong operational and problem-solving mindset with the ability to drive results on the shop floor
