FUNCTION: Plan, direct, and coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing products in accordance with cost, quality, and delivery specifications in a plastic injection molding manufacturing facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
- Coordinate plant activities through planning with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Develop or implement production tracking or quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, or other operational reports, to detect production problems.
- Develop and control profits, plans, and budgets.
- Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
- Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace, or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
- Implements and maintains preventative maintenance programs.
- Provides direction, development and leadership to production supervisors
- Support the analysis, planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of key projects to help companies achieve their goals using six sigma methodology and analytics
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, management and/or business.
- Prior plant management experience with proven supervisory/managerial skills.
- Minimum 5 years in a management role leading others.
- Minimum 3 years of plastic injection molding processing experience
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal skills
