Quality Manager | Manufacturing | Slatersville, RI | 🏭 On-site
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and continuously improve our Quality Management System (QMS) within a manufacturing environment. This role is critical to safeguarding product integrity, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, and driving a strong quality and food safety culture across the organization.
As Quality Manager, you will:
✅ Own and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 and customer requirements
✅ Lead internal, external, and third-party audits, including corrective action management
✅ Act as HACCP Coordinator and Food Defense Lead, overseeing food safety systems and recertifications
✅ Review and resolve nonconformances from daily operations and audits
✅ Supervise and develop Quality staff, including training, prioritization, and performance management
✅ Lead inspection, audit, and corrective action programs to meet customer and regulatory requirements
✅ Serve as primary customer-facing Quality representative for quality issues and audits
✅ Chair the Material Review Board (MRB) and oversee defect disposition (reuse, scrap, etc.)
✅ Analyze quality performance metrics, report trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
✅ Maintain all quality and food safety documentation and ensure plant-wide compliance
🔹 What We’re Looking For
🔹 Bachelor’s degree required
🔹 10+ years of Quality experience in a manufacturing environment (plastic injection molding strongly preferred)
🔹 5+ years in a supervisory or leadership role
🔹 Strong experience with ISO 9001 and QMS ownership
🔹 Hands-on knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and audit programs
🔹 Customer-facing quality experience
🔹 Quality certifications (preferred)
