My client, a well-established and growing food manufacturing company, is seeking Plant Supervisor Lead, 2nd shift.


Onsite Monday-Thursday, 2:30pm start-time, 10 hours per day (or until end of production)

$30-35/hr + Paid OT (typical schedule is 40-48hrs/wk)

Bilingual English/Spanish Required


Position Highlights:

Shift Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead pre‑shift huddles to communicate goals, priorities, and schedule changes
  • Ensure Supervisors maintain workflow
  • Reassign labor as needed

Quality, Food Safety & Compliance

  • Review label verification forms and monitor weights every 30 minutes
  • Ensure sanitation, allergen controls, and equipment cleaning procedures are followed
  • Escalate quality concerns to the Manager and QC team

Issue Resolution & Operational Support

  • Troubleshoot equipment, staffing, or workflow issues in real time
  • Operate machinery when needed to support workflow
  • Coordinate with Maintenance for urgent repairs

Documentation & Reporting

  • Complete shift reports, downtime logs, and production summaries
  • Communicate shift handoff notes to the incoming Lead and the Manager
  • Ensure accurate completion of required production paperwork

Training & Development

  • Assist Supervisors in training new employees on equipment, safety, and product specifications
  • Identify workflow issues and recommend improvements
  • Reinforce standard operating procedures and quality expectations.

Sanitation Leadership & Compliance

  • Lead sanitation team during late‑night shifts, supervising an average of 8 employees while maintaining productivity and safety standards
  • Coordinate team workflow by assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and supporting staff to achieve production targets
  • Ensure compliance with all Food Safety and Quality Control procedures, maintaining strict adherence to regulatory and company guidelines


Requirements:

  • Ability to operate all relevant production machinery
  • Strong knowledge of food safety policies, sanitation procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience in multi‑step sausage production processes preferred
  • Prior leadership experience or lead‑operator background in food manufacturing strongly preferred, including supervision of a 10‑member team
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Desired bilingual (Spanish-English)
