Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal

Deming & Parker, LLC has an immediate opening for a Litigation Paralegal for our Atlanta location. This position is in our Personal Injury group and will support the senior partner and other attorneys and work with other paralegals and legal assistants, in a fast-paced, paper heavy environment. We are seeking candidates who have experience working in Georgia Personal Injury. Minimum of 3 years of Georgia Personal Injury litigation experience and a paralegal certification, or 5 years of relevant experience required.


This position requires an in-person interview and is not a remote position. Remote work is not an option for this position.


Candidates must complete a background and reference check and pass a drug screen prior to starting. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. Health insurance and benefits are available.


Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Managing multiple client case files
  • Opening client files and initiating claims
  • Calendaring deadlines
  • Tracking medical treatment and insurance policy coverage
  • Ordering medical records
  • Preparing demand packages
  • Drafting and filing Complaints and initial Discovery
  • Arranging service of Defendants
  • Drafting and filing various pleadings
  • Answering discovery
  • Correspondence with the Court and opposing parties
  • Scheduling depositions/mediations
  • Keeping clients informed of case progress
  • Preparing settlement documents
  • Negotiating liens and subrogation claims
  • Client, medical provider, insurance adjuster, and attorney contact
  • Various other administrative duties as they arise


The ideal candidate :

  • Excellent computer and telephone skills
  • Technical and detail oriented
  • Ability to handle existing case load and perform multiple tasks with minimal instruction and supervision
  • Working cases up from initial call through litigation to settlement/judgment
  • Knowledge of personal injury/civil litigation deadlines and procedures
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Experience in Georgia Workers’ Compensation a plus
  • Bi-lingual a plus
  • Experience with Clio or similar document management system a plus
  • Notary Public license or willing to obtain
