What You’ll Do

As Payroll Manager, you’ll oversee the full payroll lifecycle and serve as a trusted resource for both employees and leadership. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing end‑to‑end payroll processing, including hourly, salaried, and commissioned employees across multiple payroll frequencies
  • Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including wage and hour laws and tax requirements
  • Maintaining accurate, confidential payroll records and ensuring data integrity
  • Preparing payroll reports and providing insights on payroll trends and metrics for leadership and auditors
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for payroll questions, discrepancies, and issue resolution
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
  • Collaborating closely with HR and Finance on compensation changes, benefits, and financial reporting
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing payroll team members

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in payroll or a related role in a fast‑paced environment
  • Hands‑on experience processing hourly and salaried payrolls
  • Experience managing multiple payroll schedules
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll laws, compliance, and reporting requirements
  • Proficiency with payroll systems (such as Paycom and Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and reconciliation abilities
  • Strong communication skills and a customer‑service mindset
  • Demonstrated leadership and process improvement experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Advanced Excel skills (functions, data analysis, pivot tables)
  • Experience with Paycom HRIS
  • Payroll experience supporting commissioned employees
