Role: Payment Posting Specialist (Healthcare)
Location: Phoenix, 85016
Setting: 100% on site
Schedule: Flexible start time after training (between 7a - 9a)
Pay: $20 - $27
We’re seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented Payment Posting Specialist with a strong healthcare payment posting or surgical background to join our growing team of 9.
What You’ll Do
- Post payments and adjustments daily from ERAs, EOBs, paper checks, patient payments, portals, and collection agencies
- Reconcile payments accurately in line with department processes
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies (approx. 20% of the role)
- Minimal outbound insurance follow‑up (about 2%)
- Maintain productivity and accuracy standards
- Update demographics and support charge posting as needed
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of medical billing experience
- Hands‑on experience with payment posting, EOBs, and remittances
- Strong knowledge of CMS and insurance guidelines
- Ophthalmology experience a plus
- Detail‑oriented, flexible, and dependable
- Comfortable in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
- Committed to HIPAA compliance and professionalism
