Paralegal

Our client is a well established small to midsize downtown Seattle law firm. They are seeking an experienced, motivated legal assistant/paralegal with 3+ years of experience to join their team. Benefits include health/dental/vision insurance and 401K plan. Hybrid work 1 day a week.

Salary between $70,000 - $100,000 annually depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Process incoming cases and set up new matters (e.g., document review and management, scheduling deadlines and follow-ups, etc.)
• Communicate with clients, lawyers, administrative staff and other contacts
• Assist with drafting and review of legal documents, including pleadings and discovery
• Proactively monitor case workflow and client file status reports and related deadlines
• Serve as contact on assigned case files
• Compile and file documents electronically and in-person
• General administrative support to attorneys
• General administrative support to Firm Administrator (we are a small firm, so elements of this job will include office tasks)
• Assist with management of personal injury practice

Capabilities and Qualifications:

• Prior experience with litigation processes, including e-filing at both the State (King, Snohomish, Pierce, etc.) and Federal level
• Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel
• Strong organizational skills and written proficiency
• Knowledge of Local Court Rules
• Effectively interact with personnel, management and administrative support
• Exercise professional communication skills
• Respond appropriately to shifting demand and opportunities
• Cloud-based document management experience a plus
