Purpose of the Role

This Law Firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling a high-volume docket of personal injury, wrongful death, complex litigation matters, and residential real estate Contracts.


This is a full-time, in-person position based in our Greenwich, CT office (5 days per week) and requires someone who is highly organized, responsive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The role supports attorneys representing high-net-worth individuals, businesses, and institutional clients, and includes direct client interaction and hands-on case management.

This is a senior-level position for someone who can take ownership of cases, manage competing priorities, and help move matters forward from discovery through trial. The position may also provide limited support on related real estate matters as needed, such as Contract editing and coordination of title searches.


Responsibilities

  • Manage litigation files from pre-litigation through trial, keeping cases organized and moving forward.
  • Draft, review, and finalize pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence.
  • Coordinate discovery, including document collection, production, and tracking deadlines.
  • Obtain, review, and summarize medical records, bills, and other key documents (PI/med mal focus).
  • Prepare settlement packages, trial binders, exhibits, and hearing materials.
  • Communicate directly with clients, experts, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel.
  • Manage court filings (CT, NY, federal), including e-filing and tracking deadlines.
  • Assist attorneys with case strategy, organization, and trial preparation.
  • Work overtime as needed to meet deadlines and support trial preparation; overtime will be compensated in accordance with applicable federal and state law.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of paralegal litigation experience in a law firm setting.
  • Paralegal certificate, associate's degree, or bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or a related field.
  • Experience with residential real estate Contracts.
  • Familiarity with legal research platforms (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
  • Experience with document review platforms or e-discovery tools.
  • Strong background in personal injury and/or complex litigation.
  • Experience managing high-volume caseloads and multiple deadlines.
  • Comfortable working directly with high-profile and high-touch clients.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with Connecticut and New York court systems and e-filing procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
