Litigation Paralegal (Personal Injury & Real Estate) | Zen Law Firm | Plano, TX (On-Site)
About the Firm
Zen Law Firm (The Zendeh Del Law Firm, PLLC) is a Texas litigation firm based in Plano. We take cases selectively and work them thoroughly. We are not a high-inventory settlement mill, and we are not looking for someone who wants to move files in bulk. We carry a deliberately limited litigation docket so that every matter gets real attention, and we expect each team member to know their files inside and out.
The Role
This is a hands-on litigation paralegal position supporting plaintiff-side personal injury and real estate matters from intake through resolution. Working directly with the managing partner, you will keep cases organized and moving: drafting and preparing documents, managing discovery, handling e-filing and deadlines, coordinating records and evidence, and serving as a steady point of contact for clients. This is substantive paralegal work with real responsibility, not data entry.
What You'll Do
- Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and document shells for attorney review
- Manage case files, exhibits, and document productions, including organizing large evidence sets
- Handle e-filing in justice, county, district, and federal courts and maintain the litigation calendar and deadlines
- Order, organize, and summarize medical records, billing, and damages documentation on personal injury files
- Coordinate with experts, opposing counsel's offices, court clerks, process servers, and title companies
- Pull and organize property records, deeds, surveys, and title and closing documents on real estate matters
- Communicate with clients on status, document requests, and scheduling, with professionalism and discretion
- Help prepare for depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial
What We're Looking For
- Paralegal certificate, associate or bachelor's degree, or equivalent
- At least 3 to 5 years of litigation paralegal experience; you should be able to run a file with minimal supervision from day one
- Hands-on experience with the litigation lifecycle, including discovery, e-filing, document production, and trial preparation
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to juggle multiple active files and firm deadlines
- Proficient with e-filing and case management software
- Strong written and verbal communication, including the judgment to work with clients during difficult moments
- Personal injury, real estate, or construction-litigation experience strongly preferred
- Spanish fluency is a plus, not required
Why Join Us
This is not a back-room role. You will work directly with a trial lawyer who has actually tried cases to verdict, on cases that regularly put us across the table from some of the largest and best-funded insurance defense firms in Texas. We invest in our team and expect them to grow into the kind of paralegal an attorney trusts to run a file. If you want meaningful work, real client contact, and a firm that measures itself by outcomes rather than file count, this is the right place.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary of $60,000+ per year, with significant upside for a candidate who can step in and run files from day one. The right experience will be compensated appropriately
- Discretionary year-end bonuses
- Paid time off and holidays
