Packager

This is a three-month contract position where you will work Monday through Thursday from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Responsibilities

• Inspect each bottle for legible lot number, expiration date, and/or manufacture/package date, ensuring labels are straight and free of defects.
• Ensure caps are on straight and tight, and bottles and caps are free from visual defects such as dents or debris.
• Verify that filled containers are packaged according to specifications.
• Pack bottles into cases, ensuring lot code and expiration date are correct and readable.
• Overwrap cases as specified by packing instructions.
• Adjust equipment such as the capper, bottle label machine, and case label machine for efficient operation.
• Notify supervisor or maintenance if equipment issues persist after adjustments.
• Fabricate cardboard boxes as required.
• Set up production lines and participate in line audits as directed.
• Remove crooked cap bottles from the line when alarms sound.
• Complete documentation such as logs and batch cards as needed.
• Follow sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Adhere to all safety and lockout/tagout SOPs.
• Accomplish all other assigned tasks and support other departments as needed.

• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
• Previous packaging experience with GMPs in Food, Pharmaceutical, or Medical Device industries is preferred.
• Proficiency in GMP, assembly, packing, cleanroom procedures, and general production.
• Experience with SOPs, labeling, packaging line, and manufacturing environment.

• Experience in inspection, boxing, filling, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Attention to detail is highly valued.

Work Environment

The work environment is a cleanroom type, situated in an older but well-maintained building. The company prioritizes thorough work over speed, ensuring tasks are completed correctly. The manufacturing facility includes an on-site bathroom for convenience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hayward, CA.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Hayward,CA.
