About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to support the full revenue cycle process within a growing healthcare organization. This role focuses heavily on Medicaid and third-party billing, ensuring claims are processed accurately, payments are collected timely, and all work remains compliant with healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full revenue cycle (billing, payment posting, reconciliations)
  • Submit and track Medicaid and third-party insurance claims
  • Investigate and resolve denied or rejected claims
  • Review documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance prior to submission
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Reconcile billing activity to the general ledger
  • Track billing trends, denial rates, and other key performance metrics
  • Ensure services align with authorizations and payer requirements
  • Assist with audits, reporting, and revenue forecasting support


Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of medical billing experience (Medicaid strongly preferred)
  • Experience with third-party insurance billing
  • Strong Excel skills and ability to manage data
  • Excellent communication skills working with payers and internal teams
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume workloads


Preferred Experience

  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems
  • Background in nonprofit or Medicaid-funded environments
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and healthcare compliance standards
