Position: Mechanical Engineer
Location: Fremont, CA- Onsite
Duration: Contract
The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical product development, strong CAD design skills, and a proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality automation solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop new and existing semiconductor equipment products.
- Create 3D models, drawings, and BOMs.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams.
- Build, test, and validate prototypes.
- Conduct design reviews and maintain documentation.
- Support manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams.
- Ensure product performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in automation product development and equipment automation.
- Strong experience in full product lifecycle development, from concept through production release.
- Proficiency in Creo/ProE 3D CAD modeling and mechanical design.
- Knowledge of automation components including motors, bearings, sensors, and actuators.
- Understanding of materials, fabrication processes, and design best practices.
- Hands-on experience with assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Strong project planning, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience with PLM systems (Agile/AgileEC preferred).
- FEA, SEMI standards, Vision Systems, and AutoCAD experience are a plus.
- Prior technical leadership or product ownership experience preferred.
