This role is about execution. Following through. Staying on top of things so nothing slips.
You’ll work with suppliers and internal teams to keep materials flowing and problems from turning into bigger problems.
What You’ll Do
· Own purchasing for a defined group of suppliers or categories, ensuring material availability, delivery performance, and responsiveness
· Manage purchase orders from start to finish, including order tracking, follow-up, and issue resolution
· Communicate directly with suppliers on orders, timing, shortages, and day-to-day issues
· Lead routine pricing discussions and negotiations within your scope; escalate more complex situations as needed
· Source and evaluate quotes, compare pricing, and identify cost reduction opportunities
· Monitor supplier performance (delivery, quality, responsiveness) and address issues proactively
· Identify and communicate material risks early to prevent impact to production
· Partner with Operations to balance inventory levels, demand, and material flow
· Coordinate with Engineering on part changes, BOM updates, and purchasing impacts
· Work with Quality to resolve supplier issues and support corrective actions
· Drive improvements in purchasing processes, supplier performance, and overall efficiency
· Maintain accurate purchasing, pricing, and supplier data within ERP systems
You’ll do well in this role if you:

What You Bring
· 3+ years in purchasing, buying, or supply chain in a manufacturing environment
· A degree in Business, Supply Chain, or similar, or equivalent hands-on experience
· Experience with purchase orders and supplier communication
· Ability to manage multiple priorities
· Strong attention to detail
· ERP experience is a plus
