Leveraged Finance Attorney

The Position:

A highly respected U.S. law firm is seeking a Leveraged Finance Associate to join its growing Charlotte office. This is an opportunity to work on sophisticated financing transactions for private equity sponsors, corporate borrowers, direct lenders, and financial institutions across a wide range of industries.

Associates will advise on acquisition financings, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, refinancings, syndicated credit facilities, and private credit transactions. The role offers meaningful responsibility from day one, direct client contact, and the opportunity to work closely with experienced partners on complex, high-value deals in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.

Requirements:

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the North Carolina Bar (or eligibility to obtain admission).
• 2–6+ years of experience in leveraged finance, banking and finance, private credit, or related transactional matters at a leading law firm.
• Experience representing borrowers, lenders, private equity sponsors, or other transaction parties in complex financing transactions.
• Familiarity with credit agreements, commitment letters, security documents, intercreditor agreements, and related financing documentation.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
