Responsibilities:
The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance of the facility, grounds, and production equipment, following established policies and procedures.
Ensures the reliability of building systems and equipment to support continuous production. Oversees installation of new equipment and addresses environmental considerations related to the facility and surrounding property.
Coordinates and monitors the work of third-party contractors to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
Collaborates with leadership to develop, implement, and sustain a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program that is measurable and auditable.
- Performs a broad range of advanced maintenance tasks involving facility structures, electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, machinery, hydraulics, and pneumatics. This is a hands-on role requiring in-house troubleshooting, repair, and planning. Advanced capability in diagnosing and repairing CNC equipment and other production machinery is expected.
- Identifies and diagnoses equipment malfunctions and operational issues.
- Performs repairs and ongoing maintenance on production equipment and machinery.
- Conducts troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on CNC lathes and machining centers.
- Manages maintenance-related engineering activities to support the upkeep of buildings, utilities, equipment, and overall facility layout.
- Uses a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to document and track maintenance work orders.
- Maintains cleanliness and performs repairs for facility structures and property.
- Ensures general housekeeping standards are upheld in shop and office areas.
- Performs maintenance tasks within office and shop spaces, including doors, fixtures, furniture, and storage systems.
- Completes and maintains required documentation, records, and reports.
- Performs work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Adheres to all environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards.
- Supports efforts to maximize the lifespan and performance of equipment.
- Assists with managing appropriate spare parts inventory levels.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, along with 7–10 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and knowledge of safety practices.
- Ability to generate and process purchase requisitions.
- Effective communication skills when working with vendors and internal teams.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving electrical and mechanical issues, as well as managing inventory levels.
- Solid knowledge of electrical systems and mechanical repair for both equipment and facilities.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret safety guidelines, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, and technical manuals.
