Wireless Cell Site Technician

Maintain and upgrade cell site, microwave, DC power systems, and all other assigned equipment in an efficient and timely manner
Install and maintain cell site equipment to company standards
Upgrade and expansion of existing systems
Assist in disaster recovery efforts of the network
Performance of drive tests at cell sites
Call test new installation from each TRX per sector
Responds to cell site alarms and dispatches for assigned or on call sites for troubleshooting and network restoral activities
Investigate and report back to engineering any interference issues on the network
On-call reporting responsibilities as scheduled by the Field Operations Manager of Lead Field Tech Engineer
Resolution of customer complaints as they apply to technical issues
Work effectively and efficiently with equipment vendors
Maintenance of inventories related to switch/cell site equipment
Reporting responsibilities as outlined by the Field Operations Manager or Lead Field Tech Engineer
Keep records up to date using trouble ticket and preventive maintenance systems
Ability to lead technical project involving larger team
Ability to provide instruction and training (mentor) others on cell site equipment, maintenance procedures, and processes
Respond to power outages and hook up portable generators to keep up network reliability
Other duties as required or assigned
