About Brown, LLC

Brown, LLC is an aggressive, methodical plaintiff-side litigation firm led by Jason T. Brown, a former FBI Legal Advisor and Special Agent. The firm handles complex litigation nationwide, including whistleblower matters, class actions, commercial litigation, and labor and employment rights cases.

Within that broader practice, Brown’s wage-and-hour team focuses on representing employees in class and collective actions involving unpaid wages, off-the-clock work, improper pay practices, and related workplace violations. Brown’s work is fast-moving, high-stakes, and deeply litigation-focused, and the team is built to move cases forward with discipline, precision, and strong client advocacy.

About the Role

This is a full-time, in-office role within Brown’s wage-and-hour department. It is a hybrid case-operations, administrative, and litigation-support position.

The role sits at the center of the department’s day-to-day workflow. You will help attorneys and the team move matters forward at multiple stages, including prospective client intake, client onboarding, matter opening, document collection and organization, factual development, routine post-filing support, and deadline tracking.

This is not a passive administrative role and not a front-desk position. The right candidate is organized, responsive, detail-oriented, comfortable communicating directly with clients, and able to manage a high volume of tasks without losing accuracy. The role requires someone who follows through, keeps systems current, closes information gaps, and helps prevent cases from stalling.

Core Responsibilities

  • Communicate directly with prospective and current clients to gather information, coordinate next steps, and keep matters moving
  • Follow up persistently to obtain records, signatures, and other information needed to advance matters
  • Maintain accurate, organized case files and system records in the firm’s core platforms
  • Review, organize, and summarize employment records and related client documents for internal use
  • Support matter workflow from intake and onboarding through routine post-filing litigation support
  • Assist with standardized filings, service workflows, deadline tracking, and calendar maintenance
  • Conduct factual and background research relevant to case development and potential defendants
  • Handle related administrative support tasks, including document processing, mail, and routine payment coordination

What We Are Looking For

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational discipline
  • Excellent follow-up habits and a high level of ownership
  • Ability to manage many moving parts at once while maintaining accuracy
  • Clear, professional, and confident communication with clients and team members
  • Comfort working in a high-volume, deadline-sensitive environment
  • Good judgment in handling sensitive information and routine case-related tasks
  • Ability to learn and use systems reliably, especially Lead Docket, Clio, and related tools
  • Ability to read documents carefully, spot missing information or issues, and prepare accurate summaries
  • A practical, steady work style that pushes tasks forward without constant supervision
  • Comfort using technology, including AI tools, in a careful and responsible way

Preferred Background

  • Experience in a law firm or other professional office setting
  • Experience with plaintiff-side employment litigation, wage-and-hour matters, or class/collective action work is a plus
  • Experience with intake, client communication, case management systems, CRM tools, or document-management systems
  • Experience handling litigation-support workflows, court filing support, or case-opening processes
  • Experience reviewing and organizing records for attorney or case-team use

What Success Looks Like

  • Prospective and current clients receive timely, professional, and organized communication
  • Matter information in Lead Docket and Clio is current, accurate, and reliable
  • Case files are complete, organized, and easy for attorneys to use
  • Documents, signatures, and information are obtained without unnecessary delay
  • Routine litigation-support tasks are handled accurately and on time
  • Deadlines, calendar entries, and follow-ups are consistently tracked
  • Attorneys receive clear, usable summaries and well-organized support
  • Matters keep moving because someone is actively managing the operational details
