About the Role
We’re hiring a Kitchen Manager for c in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This is an excellent opportunity for a culinary leader who enjoys running kitchen operations, developing teams and maintaining high standards in a busy restaurant environment. You'll work closely with ownership and management to ensure food quality, operational efficiency and a great guest experience.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and food production
- Order food, supplies and ingredients based on business needs
- Supervise, train and develop kitchen team members
- Schedule kitchen staff and manage shift coverage
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct weekly inventory counts
- Ensure food quality, consistency and presentation standards are met
- Maintain compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with the General Manager on menu pricing and updates
- Develop and execute daily specials and seasonal offerings
- Maintain a clean, organized and efficient kitchen environment
What We’re Looking For
- 3–7 years of kitchen leadership or management experience
- Strong understanding of inventory management and food cost control
- Experience training and supervising kitchen staff
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with scheduling and labor management preferred
- Availability for nights, weekends and peak service periods
