Financial Controller

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our clients growing team. This role reports directly to the CFO and works closely with the CEO. The Controller will be responsible for all accounting and financial reporting functions of the company, while also overseeing risk management, and managing a small team.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, and be comfortable collaborating with banks, external auditors, and Senior Stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the accounting team.
• Prepare monthly internal and external financial statements.
• Ensure GAAP compliance.
• Coordinate annual audits and tax filings.
• Develop monthly and annual budgets and variance analyses.
• Oversee human resources and IT coordination.
• Implement and enforce internal control systems.
• Prepare regulatory compliance and information reports.
• Respond to regulatory agencies and tax authority information requests.
• Manage payables and line-of-credit borrowing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (required).
• CPA or MBA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in public/private accounting, experience within the manufacturing industry is highly desirable
