East West Markets, LLC (“EWM”), a FINRA-regulated, SEC-registered broker dealer and wholly-owned subsidiary of East West Bancorp (“EWBC”), is responsible for managing the capital markets activity of all EWM clients seeking to issue securities including fixed income securities.


This is a transaction execution-focused role within the Debt Capital Markets platform. Primary responsibilities include structuring, underwriting, documenting, and closing of debt capital markets transactions where EWM acts as co-manager, initial purchaser, arranger, or underwriter across products including corporate bonds, asset-backed securities, Term Loan B transactions and other corporate and structured debt issuances.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution of primary market transactions where EWM serves as co‑manager and/or co‑arranger, coordinating with senior bankers, syndicate partners, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in the structuring, underwriting, documentation, and closing of equity & debt capital markets transactions.
  • Prepare and review offering memoranda, investor presentations, term sheets, and transaction marketing materials.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and cash‑flow analyses to support transaction structuring, pricing, and investor discussions.
  • Coordinate diligence processes, including data review, investor Q&A, and interaction with rating agencies and third‑party service providers.
  • Support investor outreach and syndicate processes, including tracking investor feedback, market color, and order books.
  • Monitor market conditions, pricing trends, and investor demand across relevant fixed income sectors.
  • Assist senior bankers in evaluating client financing strategies, capital structure optimization, and identification of future issuers in the client/prospect lists.
  • Ensure transactions are executed in accordance with regulatory requirements and EWM’s governance and risk framework.
  • Support internal reporting, post‑closing activities, and transaction documentation management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience in Debt Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, Structured Finance, or a related capital markets role.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the execution of fixed income transactions, preferably in a co‑manager, initial purchaser, arranger, or underwriting capacity.
  • Working knowledge of fixed income products, including ABS, syndicated loans / Term Loan B, equity, and corporate or structured debt instruments.
  • Strong understanding of credit analysis, financial modeling, and capital structure considerations.
  • Familiarity with offering documentation (offering memoranda, indentures, credit agreements) and transaction processes.
  • Exposure to rating agency methodologies and structured finance concepts is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple live transactions in a fast‑paced execution environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred.
  • MBA, CFA, or other relevant professional designation a plus.

Compensation


The base pay range for this position is USD $150,000.00/Yr. - USD $225,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
