NAB Capital Markets plays a leading role in supporting clients’ access to global capital markets. This position sits within the US Private Placement (USPP) team in New York and focuses on the coverage of clients and transaction execution globally.


Your role will play an important part in contributing to the strategic objectives of the Capital Markets team, in line with Corporate Finance, CIB and Enterprise Strategies.

In this Analyst or Associate level role, you will:


Transaction Execution & Deal Support
  • Support senior team members in client coverage, execution, and deal management
  • Actively participate in deal teams, working closely with client coverage and broader Capital Markets teams
  • Assist in the origination, structuring, documentation, marketing, and execution of USPP transactions
  • Coordinate and support investor roadshows, meetings, and diligence processes
Client Coverage & Origination
  • Prepare client pitches, RFP responses, and marketing materials
  • Draft investor presentations and periodic reports
  • Maintain core materials including the master pitch book, transaction database, and templates
  • Contribute to the management and development of client relationships
  • Support Capital Markets Origination Directors in identifying and executing funding opportunities
  • Respond to client and coverage queries and help drive ongoing client engagement
Market Analysis & Insights
  • Monitor and analyse market conditions, pricing dynamics, issuance activity, and regulatory developments
  • Provide pricing indications, market updates, and investor feedback to clients
  • Conduct industry, economic, and company-level research to inform client strategy
Investor Coverage
  • Develop knowledge of the USPP investor universe
  • Support investor engagement through analysis, updates, and meeting participation


What you’ll bring:

Our ideal candidate will be a detail focused and a proactive individual with a strong work ethic and have demonstrative ability to meet deadlines in fast paced environments. In addition, you will have:

  • Experience or education in the financial markets industry and/or banking, including client coverage, credit or specialist product areas.
  • An understanding of debt capital markets and how market conditions affect pricing and funding opportunities.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to write effectively about markets, opportunities and NAB’s capability, to produce high quality RFPs, deal recommendations, deal write ups, etc.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship skills, time management, organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of risk and compliance and awareness of the ever-changing risks such as market risk, financial risk, non-financial risk, regulatory changes, and the application to product, process and how we deal with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Undergraduate degree required, preferably in a business-related discipline.
  • 0-3 years of prior work experience in a related position with preference for investment banking, credit analysis or capital markets.
  • Candidate will need to become Series 63 and 79 licensed (if not so already) within 120 days of the commencement of their role.
  • Strong technical/computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Bloomberg).
  • Eligibility to work in the United States and availability to work on-site in New York, NY.
