Position Summary:

The Corporate Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, cost accounting, and internal control functions of the company. This role partners closely with operations, sales, purchasing, and executive leadership to provide accurate financial information, drive profitability, and support strategic decision-making. The Controller ensures compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies while

maintaining a strong focus on manufacturing cost control and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Develop financial reports, KPIs, and management dashboards.
  • Present financial performance, analysis, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Prepare and present financial statements, financial analysis and other items requested by the CEO for Board of Directors presentation/submission.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital requirements.

External Relationship Management & Reporting

  • Develop and manage lender relationships as necessary (Banks, Equipment Lenders, etc.)
  • Develop and manage relationships with risk management partners (Insurance Brokers)
  • Present financials, and requested reports, to external stakeholders as required (Lenders, Customers, and Suppliers)

Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance

  • Maintain and improve standard costing systems.
  • Analyze labor, material, and overhead variances.
  • Monitor inventory valuation and accuracy.
  • Evaluate manufacturing performance, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Support pricing strategies through product cost analysis.
  • Partner with operations to identify cost reduction opportunities.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead the annual budgeting process.
  • Develop monthly and quarterly financial forecasts.
  • Monitor departmental spending against budget.
  • Provide financial modeling and scenario analysis for strategic initiatives.

Accounting Operations

  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules.
  • Coordinate external audits and tax filings.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Develop and maintain strong internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Manage risk assessment and financial control processes.
  • Support quality and compliance audits as required.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance staff.
  • Establish departmental goals and performance metrics.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, HR, sales, and supply chain teams.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
  • Min 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
  • Min 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Manufacturing industry experience required.
  • Strong background in cost accounting and inventory management.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Epicor, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Infor.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
